The Registry · Opens September 15, 2026
Who has published
A neutral, factual list of institutional statements published in response to the U.S. Department of Education's National Call to Action of August 3, 2026. Entries are self-listed by institutions and readers and displayed as submitted. The Registry records what an institution has posted. It does not score, rank, or grade.
What the Registry records
- Institution
Legal name and, where relevant, the system to which it belongs.
- Type
HBCU, community college, public regional, public research, private nonprofit, system office, or other mission-driven institution. Sector labels follow IPEDS where a category exists.
- State
Two-letter postal abbreviation.
- Date posted
The date shown on the statement, as submitted.
- Link
The URL of the statement on the institution's own site.
- Posture
Only as the institution describes it, or "not stated."
- Evidence appendix
Yes or no: the statement links to or contains a claim-level appendix with sources.
- Commitments dated
Yes or no: at least one commitment in the statement has a completion date or a public reporting date.
- Governance stated
Board, shared governance, both, or not stated: whether the statement says it was adopted or endorsed by the governing board, and whether it says faculty or other shared-governance bodies took part.
The three attributes are descriptive. They record whether an appendix, dated commitments, and a governance step are present in the statement's own text. They say nothing about the quality of any of them.

Inclusion, corrections, and recusal
Inclusion
A statement is listed when it is published by the institution, publicly accessible at a URL on the institution's own site or its system's site, dated, and presented as a response to the letter or as a statement of principle in the period the letter names. Reports in the press are not entries; the statement itself is. Before an entry is posted, the Registry checks that the URL resolves and that the statement sits on the institution's own site. It does not evaluate the statement.
Cadence
Weekly updates through December 31, 2026, then monthly.
Corrections and removals
Each institution owns its entry. To correct or remove an entry, submit the form below with "Correction" or "Removal" selected; the change is posted at the next update. A reader may also submit a correction with a source; where a reader's submission and the institution's own submission differ, the institution's governs.
Recusal
The author does not annotate or comment on entries for institutions where she holds or recently held an affiliation. Those entries appear with the same factual fields as all others.
Submit, correct, or remove an entry
Institutions and readers may submit a published statement for listing, correct an existing entry, or ask that an entry be removed. New entries are checked against the URL before they appear; corrections and removals post at the next update.
